We helped the contractor complete the project on time and underbudget.

STORMWATER MANAGEMENT PORTFOLIO

  • CSO WETLAND – WASHINGTON, INDIANA
The city of Washington, Indiana was required to eliminate overflows of sewage into a creak during heavy rainfall events. The solution was to build a 25 acre Firestone EPDM lined constructed wetland that would allow for the surge of stormwater mixed with wastewater to flood the wetland and be reintroduced back through the wastewater treatment plant as it could handle the load after the rain subsided.

  • VENERAL PIKE INDUSTRIAL PARK – BLOOMINGTON, INDIANA
Veneral Pike Industrial Park in Bloomington utilized area retention ponds to supply water for fire suppression efforts. Over time these clay lined ponds leaked and would not stay filled. Therefore, the city of Bloomington required the developer to line the ponds with a synthetic liner. The ponds now hold water and will meet the intended use as an available water supply for fire suppression.

  • TALTREE ABORETUM – VALPARAISO, INDIANA
The architects of the train depot at Taltree Aboretum wanted to create a water feature that would allow for a river, waterfalls and a lake. For this project to be feasible, the waterways needed to be lined. The chosen product was a Firestone EPDM geomembrane liner.

  • RATHSKELLER RAIN GARDEN – INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA
The Athenaeum Foundation wanted to minimize the stormwater runoff from the area around their building. The worked with Keep Indianapolis Beautiful to design and build a rain garden along the building. The rain garden utilized Firestone EPDM liner.

SEPTIC SYSTEM PORTFOLIO

  • TRIAD MINES – BICKNELL, INDIANA
Watermark provided all the equipment necessary to help the local contractor install one of the largest conventional septic systems in southern Indiana. The system utilized several oversized septic tanks, large pre-packaged lift stations (for dosing purposes) and chambers for the disposal field.

  • NEW SONG MISSION – NASHVILLE, INDIANA
New Song Mission is a not-for-profit children’s home in Brown County. The property is located beyond city sewers. Watermark helped design the wastewater collection and treatment system for the project. We utilized STEP systems, recirculating gravel filters and subsurface drip irrigation on this project.

  • MOORFIELD / BENNINGTON, SWITZERLAND COUNTY, INDIANA
The county commissioners realized that these two communities needed to have a centralized sewer system to solve certain wastewater issues and make the communities more livable. Watermark provided the equipment to “sewer” these communities. The project came in well under budget and the residents have a state-of-the art wastewater treatment system with user rates that are among the lowest in the state of Indiana.

MUNICIPAL INFRASTRUCTURE PORTFOLIO

  • PRINCESS LAKES – TRAFALGAR, INDIANA
Our licensed applicator is rehabilitating nearly 100 manholes at Princess Lakes. Old brick manholes were leaking and letting in too much I&I. There was corrosion and deterioration in the mortar holding the bricks together. The I&I problem was eliminated and the manholes were structurally repaired using a cementitious mortar to coat the manholes.

  • FORT WAYNE, INDIANA
The City of Fort Wayne had several concrete manholes that were quickly deteriorating due to the corrosiveness of the sanitary waste. The city was reluctant to use a cementitious mortar because they thought it would not last since the concrete manhole deteriorated so quickly. After MS-10000 with ConShield, a cementitious mortar with an corrosion elimination admixture was applied to prevent future corrosion, the city has been pleased with the results.

  • HIGHLAND, INDIANA
Watermark worked with the engineer and precast concrete pipe manufacturer to use ConShield as a corrosive inhibitor additive. The manufacturer was very pleased with the product and its ease of use. ConShield has allowed the concrete pipe manufacturer the ability to pursue small diameter sanitary pipe projects that had previously utilized PVC.
